  • Type Ratings (TR) courses B737NG

    Aim of the course
    The aim of the Type Rating B737NG course, which has also been approved with the option to conduct ZFTT, is to gain a thorough understanding of the operation, the function and, if appropriate, the abnormal and emergency operation of all aircraft systems. The type rating course shall also include those systems essential to the operation of the aircraft in the event that the crew has little or no control of their normal or abnormal operation.

    Entry Requirements
    Part-FCL regulates the content of the Type Rating training courses and stipulates the entry pre-requisites for three classifications of trainee:
    – Trainee undergoing their first Multi Pilot Aircraft (MPA) type rating training. This trainee will perform an extended, standard or MCC type rating training course at Avion Training.
    – Trainee undergoing a subsequent MPA type rating (i.e. not their first). This trainee will perform a standard or short type rating training course at Avion Training.
    – Trainee undergoing a subsequent MPA type rating but granted credit for similar type experience. This trainee will perform also a standard or short type rating training course at Avion Training.

    First Type Rating (for initial / non-experienced pilots)

    As the applicable entry requirements are quite complex and individual-based, we advise you to contact us personally.
    – Trainee undergoing their first Multi Pilot Aeroplane (MPA) Type rating training. This trainee will perform an extended, standard or MCC Type rating training course at Avion Training.
    – Trainee undergoing a subsequent MPA Type rating (i.e. not their first). This trainee will perform a standard or short Type rating training course at Avion Training.
    – Trainee undergoing a subsequent MPA Type rating but granted credit for similar type experience. This trainee will perform also a standard or short Type rating training course at Avion Training B.V.

    – 5 days CBT / Mock-up and theoretical knowledge training
    – 3 days CBT / Visual Procedure Trainer
    – 10 days CBT / Fixed Base Simulator
    – 1 day theoretical knowledge ground school examination
    – 10 Full Flight Simulator sessions
    – 1 Full Flight Simulator skill test / check

    – 2 days CBT / Mock-up and theoretical knowledge training
    – 6 days CBT / Fixed Base Simulator
    – 1 day theoretical knowledge ground school examination
    – 6 Full Flight Simulator sessions
    – 1 Full Flight Simulator skill test / check

    approx. 3 weeks

    Zero Flight Time Type Rating Course

    ** Zero Flight Time Type Training is available on request for experienced pilots only.
    A pilot undertaking instruction in a ZFTT course shall have completed training on a multi-pilot turbo-jet aircraft certificated to the standards of CS-25 or equivalent airworthiness code or on a multi-pilot turbo-prop aircraft having a maximum certificated takeoff mass of not less than 10 tons or a certificated passenger seating configuration of more than 19 passengers, and:
    – If an FFS qualified to level CG, C or interim C is used during the course, 1500 hours flight time or 250 route sectors.
    – If an FFS qualified to level DG or D is used during the course, 500 hours flight time or 100 route sectors.

  • Type Ratings (TR) courses A320

    Aim of the course
    The aim of the Type Rating A320 course, which has also been approved with the option to conduct ZFTT, is to gain a thorough understanding of the operation, the function and, if appropriate, the abnormal and emergency operation of all aircraft systems. The type rating course shall also include those systems essential to the operation of the aircraft in the event that the crew has little or no control of their normal or abnormal operation.

    Type Rating A320 for Initial / Non Experienced Pilots

    – 3 days CBT / Mock-up and theoretical knowledge training
    – 6 days CBT / Visual Procedure Trainer

    – 1 day theoretical knowledge ground school examination
    – 8 Full Flight Simulator sessions
    – 1 Full Flight Simulator skill test / check

    approx. 5 weeks

    Type Rating A320 INCLUDING Jet Transition training:

    – 1 day Jet Transition theoretical knowledge training
    – 5 days CBT systems study
    – 2 days Performance knowledge training
    – 9 VPT (Visual Procedure Trainer) sessions
    – 1 day Theoretical Knowledge ground school examination
    – 3 Jet Transition Full Flight Simulator sessions
    – 8 Full Flight Simulator sessions
    – 1 Full Flight Simulator skill test / check

    approx. 7 weeks
